This mural was a private commission for a bathroom painted on the back wall of the bathtub. The client wanted to create an Italian Romanesque look with beautiful flowers and ocean view. This would be a spa getaway in her own home. The mural was inspired by works done by Kim Sung, Monet, and Thomas Kinkade. All very dreamy romantic artists. In the end, the mural created depth and the room appeared larger.

On viewing the room, a friend commented that they must have raised the ceiling another 2 feet!

Private Commission

This mural was a private commission designed for a condo entrance. There was a problem with this wall, where pictures would not hang very well on the concave surface. The mural idea was chosen from an idea book that I provided to the client for inspiration. Something was needed for the wall but not quite sure what appealed to them. This picture was chosen because it created an outdoor feel and because of the clients’ love of African motifs. Drama and interest were instantly created by adding this mural.

My abstract metal paintings in rusted iron, copper and blackened bronze and patina are organic creations that develop spontaneously through reaction – creating beautiful abstract patterns. These finishes bring me back to the basics and depict how things in life are not perfect but in time erode and rust, creating another beauty that can not be overlooked.

St. James Place is located on South Street in Halifax. This project was done for Banc Properties, who wanted an “Old World” look in the entrance of the new apartment building. Italian plaster was chosen in a “Valentino” finish with a smooth and distressed aged look. This finish was chosen for its authentic Italian look and durability.

The mural of the Halifax waterfront was created by fellow Artist Zack Rexhepi in a Renaissance theme using the present day skyline with old world colours and details.

Faux marble in acrylic on MDF

Interlocking finger tiles with iridescent glass mosaic tile accents created to give a water effect. This finish was specified by Tower Interiors for the Trillium Condo project. The Designer wanted to create a look of wet tiles, like water trickling down a wall, but without the water. The tiles were smooth and plain but with a little touch of texture and sparkle the tiles come to life!

This tile will be featured in the foyer of the Trillium.

The Essex Corbel is finished in blonde bronze and blue patina.  The finish is a real metal finish with genuine patina that can be applied outdoors as well as indoors.  Why do a faux finish when you can have the real thing. This finish is considered to be "live" allowing the patina to create and change over time like naturally occurring patina would.
Prices for this finish range from $200 - $300 each corbel.

Local supplier Vintage Moulding  www.vintagemouldings.ca have a variety of designs to choose from.
